What's TPO Membrane and why is it popular?
TPO stands for thermoplastic polyolefin and is a single-ply roofing membrane.
TPO has evolved into being the number one roofing membrane in Canada and the US for three primary reasons:
- It has very competitive installed cost against all other membranes.
- TPO is white in colour and considered a “cool roof”. Cool roofs have experienced a massive growth explosion as part of the environment movement to reduce heat island effect.
- TPO is lightweight, weighing less than a third of a pound per square foot and thus poses no additional dead load concerns.
Is TPO easy to maintain?
Yes. It is an exposed membrane, thus making any damage investigation from weather events, vandalism or any source much easier to detect. TPO can be easily cleaned and repaired.
What warranty is available?
Lexsuco offers warranty coverage up to 20 years.
